Committed to the preservation of Gründlenried-Rötseemoos

Buzil and nature conservation organisation work hand in hand

Sustainability was actively practised at the beginning of February. Together with the German Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union (NABU), we got to work and made a direct contribution to protecting a unique habitat: the Gründlenried-Rötseemoos. The raised bog has been a nature reserve since 1983 and is home to rare plant and animal species. However, regular maintenance measures are necessary to preserve this valuable landscape. Our team helped to remove overgrown shrubs from the edge of a litter meadow. This prevents excessive shading and preserves the areas for traditional maintenance measures.

Why this is important:

Gründlenried-Rötseemoos is home to 13 plant and 16 animal species, all of which are on the Red List of Threatened Species. Protecting this unique ecosystem is therefore essential.

Our Managing Director Isabell Janoth and our Head of Research & Development Dr Daniel Schühle drew an enthusiastic conclusion: "It' s really great to be able to make a contribution to such an ecologically significant and beautiful moor!"

The day showed: Together we can make a difference! Our commitment to sustainability does not end with our products - it is a central component of our corporate culture.
